Jersey Youth Keswick
The first Jersey Keswick was held in a marquee at Highlands Hotel at Corbiere. A concert led by Sue Rinaldi was held for the young people after the main meeting on the Saturday evening.
Dave Fenton, who was the Youth Leader at Keswick Convention in Cumbria, attended that first Jersey Keswick and agreed to lead a Youth Keswick at Aquila Road Methodist Centre in St Helier the following year. 17 young people attended. The year after that, Jersey Youth Keswick moved to the grounds of Vinchelez de Haut Manor and has served about 100 young people each year ever since.
Dave led Jersey Youth Keswick for many years until the team in Jersey felt able to run it themselves, with the aid of guest speakers and/or bands from off-island. In 2010, we were privileged to have Dave's son, Andy, come to lead Youth Keswick in Jersey.
